McKean County Ham Radio Club starts licensing class in February 2007 Bradford, PA¾ The McKean County Amateur Radio Club, an affiliated club with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), will be conducting a Technician licensing class. This class will teach the beginner the theory, safety procedures and station operation to be able to take the Technician tests for an Amateur Radio (HAM) license. Students will receive training on various types of communications modes available to amateur operators. Students do not need Morse code to use the popular 2 meter and other VHF-UHF band frequencies. Morse code will be offered to those interested in learning it. The class will be held over two days, Saturday and Sunday, February 17th and 18th, from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the American Red Cross Chapter House at 302 Congress Street, Bradford, PA.
